Mom's been gone since last night. She is visiting Grandma Brown (her mom) and helping her with some projects around the house. We all miss her, but I'm sure she is glad she is not here right now. One week without the kids! Lucky mom!
For the last 3 years, August has been dedicated as Fire Ant month. They seem to make their way into the house, usually in one of the kids' closets. This year was Cami's turn. All of her clothes were covered with ants. We have been spending the day cleaning (Ben's way) each of the bedrooms and closets.
We took a break and went to McD's for lunch and play time. During lunch we made a plan and list of projects to complete. Once the projects are done, we will spend the rest of this "vacation" playing at Sixflags Over Texas (Arlington/DFW). We are also going to visit our favorite pizza joint, the Mellow Mushroom! BEST pizza ever!
We came home and have been cleaning since. To keep herself from leaving her room, Cami had tethered herself by her wrist to her closet doorknob. By the time I took the picture, she moved it to her ankle so she could reach farther.

Marshy found a Mellon in the garden. Lets just say it was more then ripe, and so was Marshy.

Wow it sounds like you all are going to have some fun while your mom is out of town.

Looks like the ants love Cami this year! The ants are starting to take over my place again!!!
Six Flags sounds like so much fun!
cleaning Ben style... I'd be interested to figure out exactly what that means! =)
